Kentucky Oaks From the Clubhouse, Churchill Downs, Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Wow what a beautiful day for the Kentucky Oaks! Despite weather reports predicting morning showers, the sun came and stayed out all day long. The women were dressed up in their best dresses and especially their best hats. I LOVED the fashion and it makes me want to go out and buy dresses!

The Kentucky Oaks is the day before the Kentucky Derby, a Grade I stakes race for three-year-old Thoroughbred fillies (young female horses). The theme was “Pink Out” to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

Plum Pretty won the big Kentucky Oaks Race, and there were 11 other races throughout the day. Victoria’s Wildcat was able to win me some money in one of the races. What a lovely time!
